Mod Kintsugi Vase

Kintsugi is the ancient Japanese art form of repairing broken pottery with gold. It is the foundation of a philosophy that honors the journey of an object, treasures it's imperfections, and finds it more beautiful for having been broken. 

These vases are my version of kintsugi. Something changed in their journey that led to imperfect results. Instead of destroying them and starting over, I repair what needs to be fixed in order for them to be functional, sand them smooth, glaze them with a pristine snow white glaze, and highlight the rim with an 18k gold luster. Each of these pieces are one of a kind and add an elevated and striking beauty to your space.
